Once in a while you need to send an email to a many subscribers – say members of your same class group. What you need is a mailing list. Here at Hosteac your hosting account provides you the facility using your domain name and corporate Identity, however, there are alternatives that can do the same at no initial cost, that is Yahoo groups and Google groups.
For this article, we shall look at creating a quick mailing list using Google groups. So let’s get started.
1. Go to – www.groups.google.com 2. Click – Create Google Group
3. If you are not already signed in you will be redirected to sign in with your Google account, if you don’t have one, click signup to create one.
4. Once you login you will be redirected to a page where you create the group. Go through the form filling each field and choosing options based on what you prefer. The field of group name is the unique name of your mailing list, the group email address is picked from the name.
Once you have filled in the fields and set permissions, you click CREATE which is on top of this form.
When you submit, you will be take to the page that looks like the one below,
Now the fun stuff. Adding emails or members. Click on Invite people to Join the group – as seen above. You should be directed to the page below after that.
